From the moment I stepped into a new country as a Chinese immigrant, I knew that my journey would not be easy. I arrived in the United States with big dreams, little resources, and an unshakable belief that I could turn adversity into opportunity. Today, I stand as a spa owner, a businesswoman, a therapist, and a skincare formulator—roles that didn’t come overnight, but through countless trials, setbacks, and victories.

Breaking Barriers: The Struggle Behind the Story

As women, we often face barriers that test our resilience. For me, those barriers included cultural differences, language challenges, financial limitations, and the constant question: “Will I ever be enough in a world that seems to demand so much?”

The spa and wellness industry is competitive, and being an immigrant made it even more daunting. There were times I worked late into the night formulating products, balancing therapy sessions, and finding ways to keep my business alive when the odds felt stacked against me. But with each challenge, I learned that barriers are not meant to stop us—they are meant to shape us.

Building Legacies: From Nothing to Something

Starting from scratch taught me to value every step of the journey. When you build from the ground up, every milestone is significant. For me, opening my spa was not just about offering services—it was about creating a sanctuary where people could heal, restore, and feel seen.

My journey as a skincare formulator also became a way of leaving a legacy. Each product I create is born from research, passion, and a desire to empower people to care for themselves. It’s a reminder that legacies are not just about wealth or titles—they are about impact.
